Among matters discussed or noted: minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. The resolution of 8 January substituting the title of Clerk, for that of Assistant Secretary, to be rescinded and the latter adopted for all resolutions passed subsequently. Assistant Secretary's salary fixed at £160 per annum with the use of a bedroom, sitting room, coals and candles; the whole time to be of service to the Society including assisting Mr. Panizzi with the Library catalogue. Mr. Tattam granted an extension for admission to the Fellowship. Michael Faraday to bring forward the motion relating to the award of Royal Medals at the next meeting. |
