Among matters discussed or noted: minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. Letter from Charles Few, Covent Garden, 4 May 1835, to John William Lubbock, full text entered into the minutes: on the refusal of the City of London to complete the arrangement entered into by their Surveyor and others relating to the Society's property on Coleman Street, the property had been purchased for £3,150, with 30 guineas of charges payable to Mr. Higgins. Treasurer's agreement to the sale of Coleman Street and investment of the resulting money. Treasurer authorised to put up shelving in the new room adjacent to the Library, to Mr. Cubitt's estimate. Thomas Leyborn and the Marquis of Breadalbane requested extensions of time for admission to the Fellowship, granted. |
