Among matters discussed or noted: Mr. Lawrence and Captain Smyth were sworn in as new Members of Council, Mr. Allen gave his affirmation, and minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. Mr. Baily reported that he had returned Graham's brass scale and two French metres, loaned to him in April last. Letter from W. Vaughan, requesting copies of the Greenwich Observations for Bowden College and Watenville's College, Maine, granted on further communication with Mr. Vaughan. Letter from J. Clayton Freeling to Dr. Roget referred to the Excise Committee. Letter from Dr. Granville to J. G. Children read [contents not minuted].
