TitlePhotographs of Sir John Cornforth
DescriptionAll photographs in this file feature John Cornforth, however some of the images do feature others. There are photographs with Rita Cornforth (some duplicated), which includes one with some damage to the bottom of the image, possibly cause by having once been stuck on to paper with tape. However it is accompanied by a very similar larger picture (undamaged) and negatives, there is a similar or duplicate image is also included in COR/1/6/2.
Other images featuring people with Sir John Cornforth include a picture taken with Ernest Guenther when receiving the Fritzsche Award. There are also three group shots that include John Cornforth. One taken in June 1946 at the Dyson Perrins Laboratory, this photograph includes, Rita H Cornforth and Sir Robert Robinson amongst others who are all list on the card mount. There is a formal group shot probably taken around the time the Popjak and Cornforth worked together at the Shell Milstread laboratory. The sitters are not listed and one sitter remains unidentified, the others appear to be (left-right) Victor Rothshild, George Popjak, unknown, Robert Robinson and John Cornforth. The final group shot (undated) was taken at a meeting held at G*. STILL TO DO
