Lecturer on Embryology, Department of Zoology, Imperial College of Science and Technology , London. Late Lecturer and Demonstrator in Zoology, Owens College, Manchester. Distinguished for his work on comparative vertebrate embryology; especially on mammalian embryology, on the development of the structures by means of which the embryo is attached to the uterus, and on the development amd morphology of the placenta. On these subjects his wide knowledge and comprehensive researches are of great value and have gained for him everywhere a position of high authority.
