He has published also on sense organs and behaviour, and on the properties of the cuticle and egg shell. During recent years he has been engaged in a profound study of the factors concerned in the environmental control of polymorphism in Aphids. This work is characterized by infinite patience, technical ingenuity, and the imaginative design of experiments. Results of great interest are now emerging.
