CitationMonsieur le Dran, Secretary to the Royal Academy of Surgery at Paris, a Gentleman of great eminence in his Profession, and well known by his excellent Book of Chirurgical Observations, lately translated and ready to be published in our Language: being desirous to offer himself a Candidate for the honour of being elected into this Royal Society.
We do accordingly propose him, and as well upon the Strongest Instances of his Majesties last Minister at the Court of France; as upon the particular and personal knowledge of Some of us, and the general reputation he has for his great skill and knowledge both at home and abroad, we do hereby recommend him as a Gentleman every way qualified to be a valuable member of the Society and a usefull Correspondent of the Same
