Date8 March 1750
CitationDr James Mounsey, (Physician in chief to the Czarina's Army which Marched through Bohemia & Poland to the Assistance of the Allies, and who has resided many years in Muscovy:)
Being desirous of becoming a fellow of the Royal Society; We whose Names are underwritten, being convinced by the Several judicious Accounts and Observations communicated by him from Time to Time to the Said Society, that he is a Gentleman of extensive Learning, Curiosity and knowledge in Natural History, which he Seems industrious to improve and communicate; and believing a person thus qualified, and residing in a Country whence it is very difficult to obtain any Satisfactory Information, is likely to prove a desirable and usefull Member, We therefore heartily recommend him to be elected as such.
