CitationJohn Lewis Oeder, Counsellor of the Court of Brunswick, Director of the Ducal Cabinet and Professor of Mathematicks at the Caroline Academy, being desirous of becoming a Member of Our Royal Society, We do hereby propose and recommend Him to that illustrious Body on Such Account, as a Gentleman extremely well deserving that Honour, by his undoubted Abilities, extensive learning and true practical Knowledge, for which His several ingenious and very usefull Publications have already made Him known to the learned World.
We sign this Certificate, accoring to our Laws, from Our own personal Knowledge and entire persuasion.
