CitationLieutenant H Alexander Ormsby of the Indian Navy - already well known to science as the Author of various papers on the Geography of the East; and who has travelled much in Mesopotamia - Syria - and Asia Minor: and who under the sanction of the Indian Government was employed to Survey the Rivers Euphrates and Tigris and construct Maps of those rivers - is desirous of becoming a Fellow of the Royal Society - and we from personal knowledge do recommend him , as likely to become a valuable and useful Fellow thereof
