Of "Catalogue of Chiroptera in the Collection of the British Museum" A Monograph of the Order Chiroptera (being the first complete work of the kind as yet published on any of the Orders of Mammalia) Also of papers "On the Respiration of some Species of Indian Fresh Water Fishes". Proc Zool Soc Lond 1874. "On the Osteology of Trianops Persicus, Jour Asiat Soc Beng 1872. "On peculiar structures in the feet of certain Species of Mammals, &c" Proc Zool Soc 1876. and of numerous other original scientific papers published in the Proc and Journ Asiatic Soc Beng; Proc Zool Soc Lond; Ann Mag Nat Hist; Journ Anthropological Inst; Journ Anat and Phys; Report of British Assoc; Adv Science &c &c. Is now engaged on a Monograph of the Order Insectivora. - Has received (in conjunction with Dr Lewis) the thanks of the Government of India for a "Report on the Bladder Worms found in Beef & Pork," and of the Trustees of the Indian Museum for the "thorough and exhaustive manner" in which the Catalogue of the Chiroptera in that Museum was completed, & for the "important service thus rendered to Scientific Zoology"
