Joint Author of paper 'On some Figures Exhibiting the Motion of Vibrating Bodies, and on a New Method for Determining the Speed of Machines' (Proc Roy Soc, vol xxvi, pp 157-163), and of a paper 'On the Determination of the Rate of Vibration of Tuning Forks' (Phil Trans, 1880, pp 1-14). Author of : - 'Practical Geometry and Engineering Drawing' (1875); 'Principles of Graphic Statics' (1879); 'Perspective Explained and Illustrated ' (1884); 'Plevna: a Study of the Operations of 1877' (1880); 'Official Report on the Effects of the Bombardment of Alexandria' (1882); 'Fornification: Past, Present , and Future' (1890); and of a large number of papers on naval and military subjects.
