Citation | Professor of Anatomy, Queen's College, Belfast. Is Fellow and Examiner in Anatomy, Royal University, Ireland. Examiner in Anatomy in the Edinburgh and Victoria Universities. Author of 'A Treatise on the Topographical Anatomy of the Child,' 1887; and of the article 'Splanchnology,' edited in conjunction with Prof Schafer, in Quain's Anatomy, vol iii, part 4. Author of anumber of memoirs in the Journal of Anatomy and Physiology on topographical and comparative anatomy, of which may especially be mentioned 'On the Organ of Jacobson in the Kangaroo and Rock Wallaby'; 'On the Vertebral Column of a young Gorilla'; 'On the Thymus Gland in the Marsupials'; and 'On the Anatomy of Acquired Flat Foot.' He has also written on the Anatomy of Ornithorynchus (Proc Zool Soc Lond, 1891); on that of the Chimpanzee (Proc Roy Phys Soc, vol x); on the Thyroid, Parathyroid and Thymus Glands in 'Bradypus tridactylus' (Archiv fur Anatomie, 1897); and 'On the Normal Anatomy of the Female Pelvic Floor' (Reports from the Laboratory of the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh, vol ii). |
