During the war worked out important processes for producing ammonium nitrate. Scientific publications: - 'The System Na2O-CO2-NaCl-H2O considered as Two Four-Component Systems' (Phil Trans A, 223, 1922). 'Ternary and Quaternary Equilibria in the System NaClO4-(NH4)2SO4-NH4ClO4-Na2SO4-H2O at 60 degrees and 25 degrees C.' (Recueil des Trav Chim des Pays-Bas, 43, 1924). 'The Deduction of the Form of a Two-Component System by the Addition of a Third Component' (Journ of Phys Chem, accepted for publication).
