Citation | Distinguished for his work in medical protozoology. Author of more than 50 published memoirs embodying the results of his researches on the parasitic Protozoa - especially those causing diseases in man. He has made important contributions to Protozoology, and to knowledgeof Leishmaniasis, Malaria, Amoebic Dysentery and Trypanosomiasis; and has held with distinction the following posts - among others: - Protozoologist, London School of Tropical Medicine (1906-1914; scientific expeditions to the Sudan, Baghdad, Aleppo, Malta); Member of Medical Advisory Committee, Mediterranean War Area (1916-1917); Adviser on Malaria, Macedonia (1917-1919); Consulting Pathologist and Bacteriologist, Black Sea Army (1919-1920). |
