Stereochemistry of hyoscine, cinchona alkaloids, and eucaine, etc. Assisted materially the detemination of the constitution of hyoscine. Has increased our knowledge of the relationship between chemical constitution and physiological action, particularly in substances related to salvarsan and Bayer '205.' Has put forwarded a theory of the action of the latter group by adsorption on basic colloids. Isolated highly active natural muscarine from the Fly Agaric as crystalline gold salt.
