CitationProduction of cancers by pure aromatic polycyclic hydrocarbons (1 : 2 : 5 : 6 dibenzanthracene and related substances). This result, the outcome of work carried out by Dr Kennaway during the last eight or nine years, is one of the most important contributions to the study of cancer that has been made. Dr Kennaway previous to this had done good work in many biochemical subjects.
