CitationProfessor of Mathematics, Sydney University. Distinguished for his work in geometry, in particular for his remarkable insight into the relations of geometrical figures. He is widely recognised as a leading exponent of modern methods in synthetic geometry. He is the author of numerous papers, in which several remarkable configurations have been discovered, and of an extensive volume, dealing with a wide range of loci in ordinary space and in higher space, with the title 'Determinantal Loci'.
