CitationDr. Frohlich has done distinguished work in several branches of Theoretical Physics; for instance he is the acknowledged authority on the application of wave mechanics to the properties of insulators, a subject on which he has published a series of papers. He has applied meson theory to the properties of the deuteron, worked on the effect of nuclear spins on the properties of solids at low temperatures, and written a book on the electron theory of metals.
