Senior Principal Scientific Officer, Atomic Energy Research Establishment, Ministry of Supply. Distinguished as a teacher, and for his contributions to inorganic chemistry, particularly in connection with the chemistry of the metal carbonyls and of complex salts and of non-stoichiometric solid compounds. His research work was carried out at Imperial College, London, in the Universities of Heidelberg and Melbourne, and at Harwell where he is now personally engaged in research largely connected with the chemistry of solid substances. Dr. Anderson is joint author of a number of publications, a list of which are enclosed.
