TitleMorrogh, Henton: certificate of election to the Royal Society
DescriptionCitation typed
CitationDirector, The British Cast Iron Research Association.
Distinguished for his research work on the theory and properties of cast irons. Mr. Morrogh has carried out extensive investigations on the mechanism of solidification of cast iron and on the effects of traces of different elements. He has also studied the morphology of graphite particles. This work has involved the development of experimental methods of extreme delicacy and the results have been of great scientific interest. On the practical side they have led to the production of nodular cast irons which are ductile and are now made on a very large scale in many countries. A list of 38 publications is appended.
