CitationProfessor Anderson is internationally known for his wide-ranging original work in system theory and control theory. He had brought to bear his exceptional prowess in pure mathematics on many diverse problems in linear and non-linear system theory, filtering and smoothing theory, stability theory. He had pioneered the application of state-variable methods, especially in network theory. He is the author or part author of 5 books and more than 160 journal papers, plus more than 150 conference papers.
