The majority of this section consists of four files originally catalogued as 'Personal and Authobiographical'. A wide ranging grouping, these files include material on such topics as Simon's education in Germany; Nazi oppression of Jews in 1930s Germany; Simon's move from Breslau to Oxford in 1933 and Simon's naturalization as a British citizen and subsequent research during the Second World War.
