DescriptionPhotographs were sent to Simon by Dr DKC Macdonald, November 1955.

MacDonald moved from the Clarendon Laboratory to Canada in 1951, to set up a low-temperature laboratory at the National Research Council. MacDonald's research covered such areas as thermal conductivity and the resistance of the alkali metals.
