DescriptionBooks, reprints and journals found on the study table at the time of Florey's death. Some contain notes on the 'General Pathology' (4th edition), then being prepared for press. Many of these notes were used by Lady Margaret Florey in completing the chapters left unfinished (chapters 4, 3, 6 and 17). Subjects covered include the reticulo endothelial system, lymphatics, phagocytosis and bradykinin, platelets and clotting and retinal blood vessels. Also included are advertisements for books on lipids, cellular membranes and genetics. Journals include Journal of Physiology, Quarterly Journal of Experimental Physiology and Cognate Medical Sciences and The Journal of Pathology and Bacteriology.
