Description ' Mr Colwall undertook to send Mr Rooks inquiries about Tides and wines for St Helena, and was desired to add his owne.

My Lord Brounckers Solution of Dr Goddards 3rd Experiment was read, and found satisfactory . it was orderd to bee enterd.

Sir Robert Moray desired to bring in his story of the Echo in Scotland in writing.

Dr Charleton undertook to provide a pike against next day for dinner to observe every second tooth moveable.

Sir Robert Moray proposd Mr Hooke as a Curator of Experiments to the Society; who being unanimously accepted of, it was orderd, that Mr Boyle should have the thanks of the Society for dispensing with him for their use; and that Mr Hooke should come and sitt amonst them and both bring in every day of the meeting, three or foure Experiments of his owne, and take care of such others as should be mentioned to him by the Society.

My Lord Brouncker did suggest, that the Experiments, concerning the measure of the first velocity of bodies, might bee prosecuted, viz: what force is required to raise its weight, 1 yard high, in one second of time. His Lordship was desired to be Curator of this Experiment.

Sir Robert Moray proposed to Experiment, what proportion the velocity of a falling weight hath to the velocity of a pendulum of a certain length. Sir R: Moray made Curator of it.

Sir William Petty's letter to My Lord Brouncker concerning his double bottomd Cylindricall vessel was read: And it was orderd to be Registerd, and he to have given him the thanks of the Society, and to be encouraged to prosecute this invention and to give further notice of the successe thereof upon the tryall of the vessel at sea.

Mr Graunt was desired to give in, an extract of Sir Williams letter to him, posterior to the former, concerning the same thing.

Mr Street his proposition about the Longitudes was read, which My Lord Brouncker and Sir Rob: Moray were desired to consider of.

Mr Berkenshaws Musicall paper was presented to the Society by Dr Charleton, and My Lord Brouncker desired to examine it.

Dr Wilkins and Dr Goddard were put in mind to prosecute the Experiment of burning Lamps under water, and to try it as well with Spirit of Wine as with oyle

Sir Edward Bish and Mr Smith proposed Candidate by Dr Wilkins.

Mr Driden proposd Candidate by Dr Charleton. '
