Mr Boyle gave some Account of the Mineral committed to his Examination at the precedent Meeting, and he affirmed it to abound, with Vitriol mixed with some Brimstone ; and that a solution of Coperas made of it , and put to Galls , turned not to black , but blue : As also that some of the Mineral being laid in aWindoe, got an Efflorescence of the taste of vitriol . He was desired to examine it further and to see whether it will shoot etc.
Dr Hoar being Spoken to concerning the Account of the Cornwall-mines (at the last Meeting, said to be written by Collonel Noy) promised to communicate it to the Society within a little time.
The Experiment of making the Quicksilver stand about its usual Station, was further inquired into ; and Mr Boyle affirmed, to have tryed it again, and kept it suspended to the perpendicular
The Operator was called upon for the rest of the Thermometers to have them ready against [inset; this Oct] day .
Occasion was here taken by Dr Wilkins to enquire about the Original of this kind of Thermometers with Spirit of Wine , sealed up : to which Mr Boyle said that they came out of Italy , and that he thought to have thence received , the first thereof, here in England .

Dr Hoar related that he knew a person , who by the parings of Horse-hoofs , fryed in any sweet oyle , and carried in his pocket , made any dog follow him , and leave any other meat for this .
Mr Boyle suggested that the parings of Hors-hoofs had been found good to stay Fluxes , they having food store of Volatile Salt in them .
Dr Hoar promised to bring in an Account of a Cock's-spurre growing on a Cock's head .
Mr Clayton affirmed to have seen at Dr Brown's , a horn grown on a Cock's head naturally .
The Operator was ordered to provide a Cock against next day , to try the Exepriment of making Feathers grow on his Combe .
Mr Boyle mentioned , that one made a [crossed out illegible] horn grow on the forehead of a Horse .
Mr Clayton related that a Lady having lost one of her teeth , a Porter was hyred , one of whose teeth Le Roche , drew , and put it into the Ladies mouth , where it grew firme .
This was confirmed by Dr Whistler , relating that the same Le Roche hit on this Art accidentally , having once drawn out the wrong tooth of a Countryman , for which mistake he found him extremely enraged : he told him , he should haue but a little patience , and he would bput it in , and make it grow again , as firme as before : and sodid accordingly , setting in the good tooth , and putting the Gums carefully about it .
Dr Charleton mentione , that my Lord Hatton's sonne having some of his teeth to stand much away , had them loosened (yet without pulling them quite out) and set [crossed out; illegible] streight .
Mr Waterhouse acquainted the company that he had Spoken with Mr Childrey , concerning his Collections about the Observations of all kinds of Weathers , and that he was willing to communicate them to the Society after he had looked them over , and brought them into some Order .
Mr Hook brought in two Microscopical Observations one of a Common Fly , the other , of Mosse growne upon a Brick , together with the seed .
Mr Evelin produced the measure of a yew-tree standing at Braeburn , two miles from Scothch-hall , in Kent ; being twenty yards in compasse and seventeen foot at least in Diameter . '
