Dr Goddard made an Experiment with Quicksilver weighing it in the tube inverted.

The Letters Pattents for the Incorporation of the Society were read by Mr Oldenburg ; and it was Voted that That the President attended by the Councill, and as many of the Society, as can bee obrianed, shall waite upon His Majesty after his coming from Hampton Court to London, to give him himble thanks for his grace and favour; and in the meane time the President is to acquaint the King with their intention ; and that afterwards My Lord Chancelor is to bee thanked likewise, and Sir Robert Moray for his concern and care in promoting the constitution of the Society into a Corporation.

Dr Wallis is desired to being in writing his solution upon Dr Goddards Experiment of weighing glasse canes with the cylinder of Quicksilver standing in them, according to the Torricellian Experiment. '
