Title'On the Equilibrium Configurations and motion of a tidally distorted mass of fluid'
Datec.1915
DescriptionHandwritten manuscript. Jeans refers to himself on the first page as FRS, dating the manusript to after 1906. Given papers written by Jeans in 1915 ( 'On the Potential of Ellipsodial Bodies, and the Figures of Equilibrium of Rotating Liquid Masses') and 1916 ('On the Instability of the Pear-Shaped Figure of Equilibrium of a Rotating Mass of Liquid'), this material is likely to date from that period.
