Title'Knighthood letters'
DescriptionLetters, telegrams and telexes sent to Sir John Vane by his friends, colleagues, family and other acquaintances, congratulating him on being awarded a knighthood in the Queen's New Year Honours list. In most instances these have been catalogued individually and alphabetically, according to the author's surname. However, in some instances it is not possible to distinguish the author's full name or surname; accordingly, two files have been created to accommodate these letters (JV/11/7/257 and 258).
