DescriptionMedal to commemorate the centenary of the Mining and Forestry Academy (1770 - 1870). Academy based at at Schemnitz ( Hungarian: Selmecbánya (Selmec), Slovak: Banská Štiavnica).

Obverse: bust of Maria Theresia, Queen of Hungary, right profile, wearing bandeau, with falling drapery gathered at breast. On either side a laurel and palm branch.
