DescriptionDaily observations of wind direction and force, plotted on charts which also contain a rainfall register. Each sheet commences at midday (eg from 1 June), and ends at midday on the following day (eg on 2 June). The commencement date appears at the foot of each sheet, with the signature 'C M Elliot 2nd Lt. Engineers'. The signature later varies, the rank to 'lieutenant', and with the addition of 'Singapore'. Inscribed [p.185]: 'C M Elliot Lt. Engineer Supt. Mag. Obsy. Singapore'.

Each monthly gathering is inscribed verso, commencing at the first sheet: 'Anemometer Curves Singapore June 1841'.
