DescriptionDaily records of the weather, made during three regional journeys. The first [p.1] is within Turkey, commencing at Bafra and progressing to a variety of towns, including Amassia [Amasya], Tokat, Nixar [Niksar] and ending at Ashkaleh. 13 August-10 September 1835. The second [p.2] begins at Erzeroom [Erzurum] in Turkey, crossing into Iran via Lake Oroomia [Urmia] to Tabriz, 12 May-23 June n.y. The third journey [pp.3-4] commences at Enzillee [Bandar Anzali?] on the Caspian Sea, with a period spent at Resht [Rasht] and ending at Terke, 15 February-15 March 1840. Each section has columns for the place, date, time of observation, temperature by the attached centigrade thermometer, barometric pressure, temperature by a detached centigrade thermometer, with weather remarks. There is a single remark for the first journey, relating to Bafra's position on the Black Sea, none for the second, but fully completed remarks for the third travel.
