Title | Letter from Henry [Nicholas] Ridley, British Museum (Natural History), London, to the Royal Society |
Creator | Ridley; Henry Nicholas (1855 - 1956) |
Date | 21 January [1887] |
Description | Ridley expresses thanks for the loan of the theodolite purchased for the eclipse expedition. However, as the peak of [Fernando de Noronha] has been accurately measured by officers of 'HMS Bristol', it is 'unnecessary' for Ridley to take additional measurements. Ridley refers to his grant for the expedition and requests the Treasurer of the Royal Society to forward him the cheque. |
