Hughes requests a case to be made on behalf of Walter Keeping or his father.

Encloses a letter from [Thomas George] Bonney, President of the Geological Society, to the Secretary of the Royal Society, dated 14 June 1885, to bring the case of Walter Keeping to the attention of the Committee of the Scientific Relief Fund.
