| Description | 'There are two Trypanosoma diseases of cattle in South Africa, one caused by T. theileri, and the other the Tsetse Fly disease, by T. brucei. Arsenic is useless as a curative agent, although it will prolong an animal's life for some time. The Trypanosoma of Sleeping Sickness [African trypanosomiasis] and Tsetse Fly disease are quite distinct, - T.gambiense and T. brucei.
