TitleLetter from [Cuthbert] Christy, Royal Societies Club, St James's Street, to the Royal Society
CreatorChristy; Cuthbert (1863-1932)
Date[June 1904]
DescriptionChristy visited the Royal Society in order to point out an error or misprint made by the cartographers in the map on a page from his report [Vol III] of the Sleeping Sickness Commission [African trypanosomiasis], describes the error and requests this be corrected. Enclosed is a typescript copy of a reply from [Robert William Frederick] Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society, to Christy, dated 3 June 1904, consisting of one page. Harrison informs that what Christy described as a 'glaring error' was in fact 'a correction introduced by the Chairman of the Sleeping Sickness Commission, therefore under these circumstances he does not feel it is justified to have the report altered.
