DescriptionRefers to a request made to the Royal Society 'to join a Deputation to the Prime Minister on the subject of a National Anthropometric Survey', and enquires if the President and Council of the Society have come to a decision regarding this. Encloses a printed 'Memorandum on the movemment in favour of a National Anthropometric Survey', consisting of three pages. Includes a printed letter from John Gray to the Secretary of the Royal Society, dated 18 June, in which Gray refers to a deputation to the Prime Minister 'to urge him to appoint a committee to carry out a periodic Anthropometric Survey of school children and adults'. Enclosed is a list of 'gentlemen' who have agreed to join the deputation.
