DescriptionResponds to a letter on the subject of further financial assistance from the Royal Society. Explains that the work of visiting a selection of bogs, mostly situated between Galloway and Dublin, was begun in June 1917, and continued during July and September, and part of August, listing the objects arrived at. Outlines the research so far and proposes to start further work in April. States he has not so far been able to submit to Council any tangible proofs of the possibilities and importance of the work, and hopes it is regarded worthy of completion.
