Enquires if the Society's quarters are still at Burlington House, if the sessions are held weekly at half past four on Thursdays, and whether an invitation from a fellow member is necessary to attend these meetings. Enquires if the custom of serving tea is still observed, and if an attendant signals the start of meetings by bearing a silver mace through the reception room. Additionally requests the current President's name. States his information comes from Dr. Henry Smith Williams' History of Society, wishing to verify its accuracy since the publication is not recent. Requests pictures of the current President, as well as anything else of interest, to enhance his lecture on "Great Men of Optical Science", describing difficulties he encountered whilst looking for pictures pertaining to the life of Isaac Newton.
