DescriptionForwarding an extract of Mr Ludlow's letter, from Lincoln's Inn, regarding a compromise in the case of [William Ford] Stevenson [and his will]. Smyth makes brief comments about his own state of health.

[Enclosure is present, has an extent of 4p, and is labelled within the volume as MC/5/237a. It contains the background to Stevenson's will and the complex distribution of his property and assets to his family. A portion of his properties was to be transferred to the Society, although there was some interference from Stevenson's daughter, the executor.]
