DescriptionContaining a report on the Royal Society's water barometer, following the Society of Antiquaries' letter informing the Royal Society of the hindrance to works at Somerset House that the barometer currently poses. Weld states that the barometer does not interfere with the work in the apartments as it is located in the great hall and he reiterates that a removal would be a risk to the object.
