DescriptionHeavily criticising the statement made by J H Pepper, who claims to have introduced Dircks to several members of the Royal Society in hopes of getting him elected. This relates to a model of Dircks' invention of 'optical illusions', which he had given to the Polytechnic Institution. Pepper's statement is in a newspaper clipping attached to the second side of the letter.
