DescriptionRegarding zoological and paleontological specimens acquired by the Swedish inspector of fisheries during deep-sea dredgings off the coast of Norway. Carpenter asks the Society to refer to the Admiralty a request for a ship to undertake such dredgings between Shetland and the Faroe Islands, as well as between the Faroe Islands and Iceland. Carpenter and Wyville Thomson further apply for £100 from the Donation Fund or the Government Grant Fund towards the necessary equipment.
