TitleCopy letter from [The Royal Society] to Charles Galton Darwin
Date6 May 1946
DescriptionThank Darwin for the detailed comments on Mr Penfold's Universal System of Weights and Measures. Is grateful for these comments as they make it easier to reply to Mr Penfold, who has asked for the views of the Royal Society. He can, of course, always remark that the Society does not express a corporate view, but Darwin's letter will enable him to reply more specifically. It is bad enough having two systems, but to try and substitute a third which is better than neither, would only make things worse.
