TitleLetter from John David Griffith Davies to Sir Henry George Lyons, The Royal Society, Burlington House, London, W.1.
Date6 September 1939 - 7 September 1939
DescriptionRecto comprises a letter from Davies to Lyons concerning creating another signatory for the Warren Research Fund account, Messrs Williams Deacons Bank. Davies has obtained Professor [Alfred Charles Glyn] Egerton's signature and wonders if a letter from Lyons himself [to the bank] will be sufficient. Verso contains a reply from Lyons, 7 September, the Old Cottage, Shackleford, Godalming. Lyons believes a letter will be sufficient and discusses his drafting the index to volume two of 'Notes and Records'. He expects Davies has drafted a paragraph to tell Fellows what war precautions have been taken; when peace comes these can be amplified and details given.
