TitleCopy letter from John David Griffith Davies to Sir Henry George Lyons, [Royal Society at Trinity College, Cambridge]
Date2 October 1939
DescriptionAgrees their account of the Central Register is not inspiring. Will discuss the account with Professor Hill and show it to Sir Albert Seward today. Is sending some paper printed for Society's use in Cambridge. Encloses a copy of a letter received from Professor [Francis Albert Eley] Crew which he has shown to Sir Seward and reminded him of Lyons' strong views concerning applying to the Scientific Relief Fund. Hill suggested Crew's letter be sent to Sir Arthur Smith Woodward, which Davies has done. Davies thinks the case is more within the scope of the Society for the Protection of Science and Learning.
