TitleCopy letter from Sir Henry Thomas Tizard, to Dr O J R Howarth, British Association
Date12 October 1945
DescriptionRefers to a draft of a statement based on a recent discussion [on the formation of an educational and cultural organisation of the United Nations], on which Tizard invites an assessment of whether it fairly represents the views expressed at the conference and suggestions for improvement.

Tizard also notes that the Royal Society will be sending a representative to meet the Minister of Education [Ellen Cicely Wilkinson] and his hopes that there will be no serious differences in the views of various scientific bodies due to the importance of a unified voice. Tizard further reports that a note he intended to draft in response to a reference at the aforementioned conference on the place of science in other aspects of the United Nations, has now be limited to education and cultural organisations as it will be taken to the meeting with Wilkinson.
