TitleCopy letter from John David Griffith Davies, to William Horace Montagu-Pollock, Foreign Office, Whitehall, S.W.1.
Date23 August 1945
DescriptionRefers to Davies letter of 26 June 1945 and Sir Henry Thomas Tizard's of 12 July 1945, Davies writes to inform Pollock of the planned visit of Professor Ian Morris Heilbron, Fellow of the Royal Society, and Dr L H Lampitt to France on behalf of the British National Committee for Chemistry to investigate the position of the International Union of Chemistry and discuss the future of such international cooperation.

Notes the lack of definite plans for the visit of Tizard to Holland and Belgium, and Sir Alfred Egerton's to Czechoslovakia, and the proposal that Dr Carl Frederick Abel Pantin, Fellow of the Royal Society, visit Northern Europe to discuss with scientists the future of the International Union of Biology.
