TitleLetter from John David Griffith Davies, to Sir Henry Thomas Tizard, Magdalen College, Oxford
Date28 January-2 February 1945
DescriptionThe nephew of Professor Francois Antoine Alfred Lacroix, a Foreign Member of the Royal Society, had visited and delivered a note to the Society's Assistant Secretary and reported on the state of his uncle's health. Davies proposes that Tizard, as Foreign Secretary, might write a letter of greeting to Lacroix, and further adds that Professor Hill thinks that Tizard might go to Paris to collect the signatures of Foreign Members who have not signed the Charter Book. Davies also reports that he was, at Hill's request, asking the Society's President to sign a copy of 'The Record' for presentation to the Academie des Sciences through Lacroix.

Also includes a copy of the enclosed note from Lacroix.
